As our dedicated readers will know, we've grown from what was effectively a one-guide site to a fully-fledged news portal dedicated to Usenet in just under a year and the time has come to expand the team here at UsenetShack so that we can push out a higher rate of quality posts. The team will hopefully be growing by more than one in the near future but first up is BoDark, an American Usenet fanatic who attracted me with what I can only describe as a completely unique writing style; he'll definitely keep us both entertained.
BoDark has a long history of Usenet, way back to the days before it's main use was for downloading binaries; he is also versed in the technical side of things and the IT industry as a whole. He'll be bringing a mixture of Usenet related things to the table including the usual news and guides that we do now but also opinion pieces, something we haven't had a lot of here so far, so that should definitely be interesting.
As I've said, he's from the other side of the pond (the Shack is hosted and run from London) and therefore will be able to cover the stories that break when I am perhaps otherwise unavailable (as has had happened multiple times since we started up last year) and will also help me make some sense of you lot over there. Perhaps. ;)
There are other authors on their way, BoDark just happened to make it first! Give him a warm welcome, his first post will be going live in the next 48 hours..
If you'd like to write for us; we're still in the process of looking for more quality volunteers - so if you've got a good handle of Usenet and a better handle of the English language, get in touch using the contact form.

Welcome BoDark! i can't wait to hear and discover more about the usenet world!
I love this line, "so if you've got a good handle of Usenet and a better handle of the English language".
So many sites of this nature are completely unreadable. I'm pleased to hear literacy is an important part of this site.
You should see some of the applications.
